Why the ICCP will Succeed

Even through the 21st Century Church is extremely fragmented and is not the united Church it was in A.D. 325 during the Council of Nicea, we are convinced that those Christians of every nation of the world and in every denomination who firmly believe the Bible is inerrant — and who have a heart of conform their theology and their lives to the written world of God — when such Christians the world over discuss such major doctrinal and moral issues, they will find an amazing unity of doctrine among themselves.

One reason we have this optimism is that the generic statement of faith, "The 42 Articles on the Christian Worldview," has been enthusiastically accepted and used by leaders from many different denominations, associations, organizations, school and mission agencies since it was written in 1984. It does not contradict any of the major statements of faith created by the Church over the past 2,000 years.

We are proceeding with the International Church Council Project with great optimism that most "Bible-inerrancy" Christians from many nations will be able to affirm most, if not all, of the 24 Documents.
